What to know before using the Trip Ledger, including that this site never handles your money.
The Trip Ledger only records and calculates. This site never starts, collects or holds payments, and it charges nothing. You make transfers yourselves through your bank or payment service.
Balances and suggested transfers are worked out from what people enter, and we do not guarantee they are right. Check the amount before you pay.
Member names and payment records are entered by users and are not verified by us. If you don't know who started a ledger, don't send money.
Do not use the ledger for fraud, harassment, publishing other people's personal details or storing unlawful content. After a confirmed report the operator may switch a ledger off.
The Trip Ledger is free and comes with no warranty. It may be paused, changed or ended for maintenance, abuse or other reasons, and data you have not saved may then be lost, so download a backup when you need one.
