Trip Ledger

Record who paid for what on a group trip and get a short list of transfers that make everyone even. No sign-up needed.

On a group trip one person pays for dinner, another covers the taxi, and someone else buys the museum tickets. The Trip Ledger keeps a list of those costs, divides each one the way you agreed, and works out who should pay whom at the end.

How it works

Start a ledger, give it a name, and add the people on the trip. You get a private link to drop into your group chat. Anyone who opens it can add expenses, with no account to create.

For each expense, pick who paid and how to divide it: evenly, by exact amounts, by percentages, by shares, or evenly with adjustments. Spending in yen, won or dollars is kept per currency, and balances are listed per currency too.

Tips and shared bills

If a bill includes a tip, enter the total you actually paid. When only some of the group want to cover the tip, add it as a separate expense for just those people.

The link is the key

Anyone with the link can view and edit the ledger, so share it only with the people on the trip. Deleted records can be restored from the history, and if two people edit the same record at once you choose which version to keep.

Money stays with you

The Trip Ledger only records and calculates. It never sends, collects or holds money. Pay each other with your own bank or payment app, then record the payment. A ledger with no changes for 18 months is deleted.
